My name is Bruno Hennequin, I am 38 and, with my wife, Catherine, we have three 11, 9 and 3 years old sons. People use to say that our name and vineyard are going to be continued...

My Grandfather, Daniel Hennequin, began to make Champagne and to market the "HENNEQUIN Père & Fils" label  in 1945. Previously, and it since generations, the Hennequin family produced only quiet wines ( not sparkling), which were sold to wine-merchants.

He was one of the pioneers who, tired to be dependent on the Big Houses and on the very low prices, dashed into the manipulation and upset the established order.

He passed on the vineyard to my father, Michel Hennequin, who modernized it and notably replanted and regrouped the parcels of vines.

I have created my own vineyard in 1988 from a part of my father's that I enlarged and modernized by the construction of new cellars and the purchase of new equipments of culture and of wine making.

According to our searches, our family is one of the oldest from Venteuil.

Our ancester, Nicolas Hennequin, already wine-grower, settled down there in 1645, coming from Ay, another famous village in Champagne.

Here is the blazon from Venteuil.
